Product Description

Iron powder cores have a distinct advantage over other core materials due to the distributed air gaps within the core material. These air gaps increase the amount of DC bias that can be applied to the coil winding before the core reaches saturation. Pure iron powder cores manufactured from carbonyl iron powders are ideal for high frequency applications which require high Q values and low permeability's. Iron-alloy cores manufactured from nickel-iron and silicon-iron powders exhibit higher permeability's with low core losses when operating at high magnetizing levels.
