Market: Japanese enterprises are dominant, and domestic manufacturers are eager to work hard. Most of the global chip inductor market is occupied by Japan, and China's inductor output only accounts for 15% of the world's total. Japanese manufacturers mainly include TDK, Taiyo, Murata, etc. TDK ranks first in the industry with a global market share of more than 20% for many years. Nevertheless, the demand space of the domestic chip inductor market still allows the domestic chip inductor manufacturers to have enough development space: iSuppli predicts that China's PC production will be blowout in the next few years, and it is expected to account for about one-third of the global production by 2023.
2. High inductance: Due to technical limitations, the field of high inductance inductors is mainly dominated by traditional inductors. With the improvement of molding technology and magnetic powder material technology, the range of inductance of chip inductors has been continuously improved, and the market demand is huge.

3. High power: The perfect function and ultra-thin appearance of mobile phones and other portable terminal products put forward higher requirements for the size of high-power chip inductors. High-power multilayer chip inductors have been produced by FDK, SUNGSUM and other companies and have been used in Samsung and IS mobile phones in batches. Now MOTO, NOKIA and other companies will also start to use in mobile phone products in succession, and the market demand for high-power multilayer chip inductors will increase exponentially.

4. High frequency: In order to improve communication quality and transmission distance, communication products are developing towards high frequency, which provides a broad development space for high-frequency chip inductors based on ceramics. At present, the self-resonant frequency of high-frequency chip inductors in the industry has generally exceeded 3GHz, and some products have reached 6GHz, and are developing towards 10GHz or higher frequencies.

5. High stability and high precision: This is another major direction of the development of chip inductors. At present, the accuracy of ferrite multilayer chip inductors can only reach ± 10%, and the rate of resistance to welding heat change is generally more than 20% (the highest TDK in the industry is 12%). If the accuracy can be controlled within 5%, it can replace wound inductors in a wide range. Competition: Both sides of the stomach and back are under attack, and domestic manufacturers have serious problems. At present, domestic chip inductor manufacturers still have many serious problems, especially because the electronic components products are mainly concentrated in the low-end and medium-end fields with low technology content. At present, most of the chip inductor manufacturers in China are still aiming at consumer electronic products such as DVD, PC, digital TV, MpgA and other low-end digital products. There are few real applications in the field of communication and automotive electronics, let alone whether we can go abroad to seize some high-end electronic products with very high profit margins and very rapid development.
