How to choose chip power inductor

When designing a new model, if we need to use a chip power inductor, how should we select it? We can judge from the following aspects.
First of all, look at the application of the power inductor, such as what kind of circuit, the general power inductor can be used in the DC-DC power circuit, audio power circuit, CPU circuit and other circuits; if it is a DC-DC circuit, the self-resonance of the power inductor is required. The frequency should be greater than the frequency of the loop;
Secondly, select the appropriate inductance value according to the design of the circuit. For example, in the DC-DC loop, the main function of the power inductor is to store energy and filter. Generally, a large inductance corresponds to a strong filtering characteristic, but at the same time, a large inductance will increase the inductance. RDC affects the rated current and response rate of the inductor, so the inductance should be selected reasonably;
Then, select the power inductor according to the size of the loop current. Generally, there are two types of currents in the power inductor, DC overlap current and temperature rise allowable current. When selecting the model, the smaller one needs to be used as the rated current value.
Finally, select the power inductor of the corresponding size according to the product size, pad, etc.
