There is a good news for our company that our R&D team development a new types planar magnetics components in September.16th 2016 .it is our new products called Planar Transformer .
The Planar Transformer Compared with the traditional transformer the biggest difference lies in the core and coil winding. Planar transformer USES the small size of the E type, the RM type or ring type ferrite core, is usually made of high frequency power ferrite materials, has lower core loss under high frequency; Winding adopts multilayer printed circuit board idea around and become, winding or copper lap on the plane of the high-frequency core transformer magnetic circuit. This design has a low dc resistance of copper and low leakage inductance and distributed capacitance, can meet the design requirements of resonant circuit. And because the core of good magnetic shielding, can suppress radio frequency interference.
Planar transformer compared with the traditional transformer mainly has the following features:
(1) the high current density. Planar transformer wire is actually some flat conductor, and electric current density.
(2) high efficiency. Efficiency can reach 98% ~ 99%.
(3) the low leakage inductance. About 0.2% of the inductance.
(4) good heat conduction. Thermal channel distance is short, low temperature rise.
(5) low EMI radiation. A good core can make very low radiation shielding.
(6) small volume. Using the magnetic core of small volume can be reduced accordingly.
(7) parameters repeatability is good. Because winding is fixed structure, good processing in advance, so parameter stability.
(8) wide operating frequency range. Frequency can be from 50 kHz ~ 2 MHz.
(9) wide working temperature range. Working temperature is to 40 ℃ ~ 130 ℃.
(10) by good insulation. Planar transformer consists of conductive circuit and insulating strip overlap each other, so that between the winding and early - subprime and time - up to 4 kV dielectric isolation between subprime.
